They had it in it's own section, in the back of the store. It was well-stocked, and a sales girl was working that section, handing out flyers and talking to people. NOTE: This Forever 21 store is HUGE - It is a former movie theater complex, so it's about the size of a single floor of most department stores.
There were many pieces that are NOT on the website - and several pieces from the website were not in the store, including this one, which made me sad because I liked it.
I went through the section, and picked out seven things to try on. For the record, I am a pear shape, with 40C chest and large hips. I normally wear an 18/20 on top and a 24 on the bottom.
Tried on:
Animal Slash Print Top in 2x
Contrast Brushstroke Dress in 2x
Cheetah Print Dress in 2x
Paisley Kimono Dress in 1x
I also tried on a cute jersey dress in blue/black/white in a 2x, another tunic tank top in a 2x and a chiffon plaid top in 2x.
The results:
The Animal Slash Print Top was a winner - very cute on me, and fit well. It *is* a racer-back, which I'm not a fan of, but I would probably wear it with something over it anyways. I'm wearing it to NYC tomorrow.
Contrast Brushstroke Dress was another winner - it's short...very short. And *very* low-cut. But with some leggings, I think it will be very cute out.
The Cheetah dress was very hot, but too tight on my stomach for my liking. I almost bought it, because I felt so Beth Ditto in it...but in the end, I don't think I have the guts to wear it out.
If the Kimono dress was still in stock in a 2x, I might have bought it. They had already sold out in it, and the 1x was too tight across my stomach. Again, it was also *very* low-cut, and I would have to wear a tank or cami under it.
The jersey dress was...well...cut odd. The neck line was so wide that my bra straps showed. I was not a fan.
The other tunic, while the same size as the one I got, was cut much smaller and didn't fit me well at all.
And the chiffon top...a disaster! Did not fit at all, and was completely see through.
So, all in all...it's not the greatest, but I was happy I had a chance to try it. Many customers were coming into the Faith 21 section, and were disappointed that the clothing was not in their sizes.
