OOTC#3, Yours Clothing review, and more

I went on a trip to the US and got to do some in-store shopping, which is a rare treat for me.  I got to do a little bit here in Canada, at the local AdditionElle/ Pennington’s depot with a super clearance basement, but I guess that’s a post for another day.  I also got a package from Yours Clothing with some things I ordered.

on a bridge in the georgia botanical gardens wearing a tunic printed with dandelions

I love this tunic from Yours Clothing.  The print is gorgeous (I just love dandelions!) and the fit is quite generous- almost too big.  But, I’ve worn it 3 or 4 times and it is piling.  Who ever heard of woven fabric piling??  Kind of cheap for the price of this tunic- $45 after some coupons, not to mention $20 shipping.

Jeans are Hollywood slim leg from Avenue, in tall.  I had these in my cart forever and one day the price dropped to $5 a pair, so I bought 3 each of black and blue, since all my jeans died due to chub rub.  The price shot back up to $35 the next day, so I don’t know what I did right.

6 more outfits after the cut!

In for a penny, in for a pound, I also got a ton of leggings from Yours Clothing they seemed to be the only ones with leggings in lots of colors in my size besides onestopplus, who are way too expensive on that particular item.  Sadly they didn’t have 2 colors I wanted in stock.  Thinking  about ordering them now that they’re back but Idk, the fit wasn’t perfect. I ordered UK 30/32 which is supposed to fit US 26/28, so I was kinda already ordering a size down, or so I  thought.  I think these puppies could fit up to US 34 or 36, even.

On a sour note, I got these jeggings from Yours Clothing because I love burgundy and they had good reviews.   The waist seems to be the largest measurement. When I first put them on, the waist was a couple inches too large, but I was running out the door so I wore them.  By the end of the afternoon the waist had stretched to at least 8” too large, and actually fell down when I was coming out of a gas station!  Good thing I had on some knee-length bike shorts underneath… The same thing happened with the tummy control crop leggings. well, they didn't fall down, but i had to hold them up! at least the colored ones stay up.

coral leggings and floral dress from yours clothing

This dress, also from Yours Clothing, is also on the verge of being too big.  The print is beautiful and the fabric is better quality than the tunic, but the belt is very cheaply made and one of the belt loops unfastened on the bottom the first time I tried the dress on.  It’s also short enough that I don’t think I’ll be able to pull off bare legs with it.  Not that impressed…

More Yours Clothing leggings with a “loungewear” dress from LB, last season.  Sweater was a clearance find from JC Penney, turquoise earrings and grasshopper pin from Navajo artists in the Southwestern U.S.  Hair feathers from Cato.

Here’s a dress from JC Penny’s Liz Claiborne collection.  I was in-store and tried this one and another by Liz because they looked large.  Both marked 24, I wouldn’t have tried them online.  The dress I didn’t buy is even more generous than this one, and I’ll be watching for it to go on clearance!

I was trying to hunt down the perfect dress to go with these earrings… not sure I’m there yet.  I saw a new one on the site that is calling my name, oops!
