OOTD: Vintage dress from etsy seller Thrush

I found this fabulous seller on Etsy that has some hidden smaller fats clothes! Her name is Anne, and her shop, thrush.etsy.com, has some awesome cute dresses and skirts up to about an XXL. She updates really frequently, and answered my questions about measurements and fit advice with teh speediness. She was truly lovely.

But enough talking!





Dress: Thrush.etsy.com
Slip: cut out from a target dress, size xl
Sash/belt: off a target dress bought last year
Shoes: Faryl Robin (I love her!), bought at a shop in LA 2 years ago, size 11

If I could have my wish, I'd want this dress to be looser up top. It really doesn't fit my 40D chest, and I had to wear my most minimizing bra and it still felt compressed all day, and kept riding up, creating a puddle of fabric around the neckline. I pulled it down and adjusted it prior to taking the pictures. I may try wearing a sports bra underneath it to see if that makes it fit a little better, since the slip would cover it.

All in all, though, I love it! I feel so vintage and chic when I wear it.

First off - you look incredible! I'm so into that dress.

And secondly, I've had my eye on a couple things by thrush. I'm glad you've had a positive experience with her! I might have to go buy some stuff now. :)

I would really recommend her. She doesn't do refunds, just store credit, but she was super helpful in sending measurements, and also just giving me her opinion on what she thought would fit me given my measurements.

Thank you! I <3 these shoes, I had them for a year before I actually started wearing them super often. Now I'm afraid I'm going to wear them out :)

I love the dress! I would really like to see it with a black slip though. It may be the flash is bringing out the nudey slip though.

Definitely second a black slip. Otherwise, great look for you - the hair, glasses, shoes are all built to rock vintage styles!

I agree, the slip also really made the interfacing/seam stuff show through alot more than I'd like.

also, I will assume from the fact that no one is commenting on the etsy users name that either you guys are more mature than me, or thrush just doesnt mean the same thing in the states.

I've thought in your other photos that you remind me so much of my mom when she was 20 or so (circa 1968)...I think it's the hair and glasses. And now in that dress the resemblance is uncanny! You're the cuteness!

Thank you! I got them at Site for Sore Eyes about 2 years ago, they are a chain in northern california. It was a buy one, get one free sale - and those were the free ones!

What I really love about them is that they were perfect to wear for my wedding, because they were white, so I got to actually see during my wedding, which was fun :)
